track road off the B1249 twist and turns its way to the small
collection of houses and farms which make up Fordon. It is
situated at the bottom of a 12% hill and in a dale bottom where
four dales run into one.
St James church is a most
delightful little Church sat on the dale side. It is of Norman
times and was much restored in the eighteenth century and later.
It has an original Norman doorway and is stated to be the smallest
