The B1242
road comes to a sharp bend and swings round as it carries on its
way passing through the Village of Ulrome. The village has a very
rural feel to it but is less than a mile from the beach and the
North sea. There are camping and caravan sites to cater for the
holiday makers, but all the houses have a definite rural feel with
a number of new properties having been built in recent years.
St
Andrews Church is neatly tucked away behind some houses but
serves the village and the surrounding area. The Old School House
is now a private dwelling as so is The Old Joiners Shop. The 1952
Rickaby Hall and The Methodist Church stand quietly on the main
street as busy traffic passes by on the main road.
