The area
known as Wilfholme can be found along a no through road off the
A164 which runs down to the River Hull at the end of which there
is a farm and Wilfholme pumping Station.
The area is very
flat and used for agricultural purposes. Numerous farms and their
associated buildings can be found along the way.
The road
crosses the Hull to Scarborough railway line at which the railway
cottage is now a private dwelling. This has been lovingly restored
to the extent that the coloured glass window in the front door
depicts a line signal box. The line is now controlled by modern
automatic barriers.
