As the
road sweeps round along the B1253, it branches off to the left and
rolls down into the tiny hamlet of Octon. It is made up of a few
dwellings and Manor Farm, the land is mainly agricultural with
some livestock grazing in pastures in and around the settlement.
Octon roundabout is where the B1253 and the B1249 cross,
just to the East of the roundabout, sat back in this peaceful
Wolds woodland is the recently built East Yorkshire Crematorium,
which serves a wide surrounding area.
