The area
which makes up Hempholme is found at the back of Brandesburton
along a no through road. It is a rural area with farms and
associated buildings scattered at intervals. The road runs from
Brandesburton down to the River Hull but reaches a dead end as
Swing Bridge, The track which lies beyond this point and which
meanders its way through to Rotsea is privately owned. Along the
river bank can be found the boat club.

Sheep
and cattle graze in pastures and a variety of crops can be found
growing in the area. Some new properties have been built using the
old type brick and although new do not look out of place in such a
rural setting.
